📝 Overview & Benefits

Under this scheme, women’s groups are enabled to establish nurseries. High-quality seeds are procured from Silvahill or Silvasal, and the resources required for nursery operations are provided through a fixed grant. Technical support and training are also provided.

Department purchases the plants grown by women in these nurseries on a contract basis.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be a Women Self-Help Group, Mahila Mangal Dal, or a Local Women’s Group from Uttarakhand.

🚀 Application Process

Offline

Women Self-Help Groups, Mahila Mangal Dals, and local women’s groups will be registered at the Divisional Forest Rights Office. Women farmers will be provided with a copy of the nursery manual and technical guidance for developing the nursery.

For registration, the following documents are required: Khatauni of the proposed nursery site, proposal of the women’s group meeting, mobile number, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook.

Once the saplings in the nursery are ready, the Forest Department purchases them species-wise from the group as per the agreement between the Self-Help Group and the Forest Department.
