✅ Eligibility Criteria

The student must be studying in a Government College or State University campus of Uttarakhand.

At each college/campus level (per faculty):

Undergraduate Students:

First-year students: Monthly scholarships of ₹3,000/-, ₹2,000/-, and ₹1,500/- will be awarded to students securing first, second, and third positions, respectively, based on a minimum of 80% marks or equivalent grade in the 12th examination.

Second- and third-year students: Monthly scholarships of ₹3,000/-, ₹2,000/-, and ₹1,500/- will be awarded to students securing first, second, and third positions, respectively, based on a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the previous year’s examination.

Graduation-level examination toppers: Students securing first, second, and third positions based on a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the first-year examination will be awarded a lump-sum scholarship of ₹35,000/-, ₹25,000/-, and ₹20,000/-, respectively.

Postgraduate Students:

Second-year students: Students securing first, second, and third positions based on a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the first-year examination will be awarded monthly scholarships of ₹5,000/-, ₹3,000/-, and ₹2,000/-, respectively.

Final-year or one-year course students: Students must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in the first-year examination. First, second, and third position holders will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹60,000/-, ₹35,000/-, and ₹25,000/-, respectively.

Merit-based Scholarships:

10% of students from each faculty of each college/university campus securing a minimum of 75% marks and having at least 75% attendance in the first, second, and third years of graduation (as applicable) will be awarded a scholarship of ₹1,500/- per month.

Additional Notes:

Marks obtained after improvement tests will not be considered for scholarship calculation.

The academic session is calculated from July 1 to June 30.

After the declaration of examination results by government colleges and state university campuses, applications are invited through wide publicity.

Eligible students must register on the Samarth portal https://uttarakhand.samarth.ac.in/ within the stipulated time and submit the registration form along with their Aadhaar card, bank account details, and all educational certificates related to the examination in which they have secured 80%, 60%, or 75% marks, certified by the Nodal Officer and the Principal/Registrar.

After verification of the submitted documents on the Samarth portal and at the college level, the list of beneficiaries is published on the department’s website, and eligible students then start receiving the scholarship amount directly in their bank accounts.
